Tele2 says optimizes performance by 47% by hanging antenna higher
MOSCOW, Mar 27 (PRIME) -- Russian mobile operator T2 RTK Holding, working under the Tele2 brand, is optimizing performance of its antennas by hanging them higher than usual by 16 meters to increase the traffic processed by a base station by an average 47%, a company representative told PRIME on Monday.
“The project now covers more than 1,000 infrastructure facilities. Tele2’s technical specialists picked locations with the potential of expanding coverage: a double height of hanging the antennas raised throughput capacity and network health,” the representative said.
“It cuts capital expenditures and improve quality of the mobile Internet for the clients without construction of new facilities but through reaching higher effectiveness at the existing infrastructure.”
